Why PyMO Server?
Our society counts hundreds companies of various sizes, some of them of public interest, as do the NGO's - starting from schools, libraries, some foundations, etc. - and others with commercial or industrial goals, as do the SMEs. Of course, the good status of those contribute, directly or not, into social well-being and as well the computerization of operations as the access to electronic communications are powerful ways of getting to his well-being.
Lamentably, many of them just pay to face their computerization. We all know that the major cost in computing today is not the hardware, but the software and its maintenance. Many, facing the absolute necessity of computerizing themselves and their incapacity to pay the licences, choose to use illegal copies of commercial programs, putting themselves in a great legal sanctions danger.
On the other side, some SMEs count on their revenues to do it, paying for the right to use proprietary software. Doing that, those are in a permanent technological dependency situation, having to always trust a single provider for any solution they need to their problems.
Using Free Software, both problems vanish and the SMEs can from one side choose freely among various options, and from the other side can use an immense collection of programs already free and for free on the Internet.
